New High-Protein Chicken Powder For Foods, Beverages

SPRINGFIELD, Mo.International Dehydrated Foods, Inc., (IDF) introduced its poultry-based ingredients that are rich in protein, flavor, nutrition and function in a range of applications at the IFT 2013 Expo in Chicago.

The company featured a high protein pasta and a smoothie made with its High-Protein Chicken Powder. The chicken powder is, "a highly digestible, complete protein that naturally delivers all of the essential and nonessential amino acids," said Stephanie Lynch, vice president of sales and marketing, IDF. Comparatively, the chicken powder is a low-cost-in-use ingredient. Its applications include bars, snacks, beverages and sports nutrition applications. The ingredient requires little to no flavor masking and delivers superior nutrition and digestibility for all ages and lifestyles.
