ADM Restructures Divisions, Announces Division Presidents

DECATUR, Ill.--Archer Daniels Midland Co. (ADM) restructured its Food and BioProducts Divisions into the ADM Natural Health and Nutrition, ADM Specialty Ingredients and ADM BioProducts and Feed Divisions. These three new divisions will report directly to John Rice, senior vice president, Food and BioProducts Divisions. "This new alignment will enable us to capitalize more effectively on the opportunities in each of these three important product areas," stated John McNamara, president of ADM (www.admworld.com).

Tony DeLio was named president, ADM Natural Health and Nutrition, where he will be responsible for the business units of nutraceuticals, functional food products, ingredients and supplements such as vitamins E and C, Novasoy isoflavones, sterols and DAG oils; this division will also include Protein Specialties branded products including NutriSoy, Soy 7, Haldane Foods and analogue products.

Scott Fredericksen was named president of ADM Specialty Ingredients, which includes the areas of proteins, specialty fats, emulsifiers and food additives and ingredients such as soy protein concentrates and isolates, lecithins, citric acid, sorbitol and dehydrated beans. Until now, Fredericksen was senior vice president of the Protein Specialties Division.

Lastly, J. Kevin Burgard was named president of ADM BioProducts and Feed, which includes the business units BioProducts, Animal Health and Nutrition, Moorman's Inc. and Consolidated Nutrition. Burgard most recently served as vice president, North American Soybean Division.
