EUGENE, Ore.Amax Nutrasource Inc. launched its line of zero- and low-calorie blends of monk fruit and other natural sweeteners. The sweeteners are available for immediate distribution.

The monk fruit melon has been cultivated for centuries for its antioxidant properties. The fruit's natural sweetness is up to 200 times that of sugar. The monk fruit used in Amaxs blends is supported by a successful FDA GRAS (generally recognized as safe) application.

The company's zero calorie natural sweetener blends include Perfecta®, Perfecta Bronze, monk fruit/crystalline fructose and monk fruit/stevia. Amax also offers four low-calorie, natural sweetener blends, pairing monk fruit with sugar cane, honey, brown sugar and molasses.
