Ashland to Distribute Kaneka's CoQ10 in North America

DUBLIN, Ohio--Ashland Distribution Co.'s Fine IngredientsDivision (FID) signed a distribution agreement with Kaneka Corp. in Osaka,Japan, making Ashland's FID a distributor of Kaneka's natural co-enzyme Q10(CoQ10) in North America. Under the agreement, FID (www.FIDonline.com)will use its Fontana, Calif., blend operations to provide CoQ10 premix productsto customers.

"We have refocused our nutritional product line to include moremainstream nutritional products, and the addition of the Kaneka CoQ10 productline is a key strategic fit for Ashland Distribution," said Jerry Snyder,vice president and general manager of Ashland's FID.

The division provides a full line of more than 1,500 ingredients plus 11nutritional blend/premixes, as well as customized, proprietary blendingservices.
