BIO-CAT, Deerland Now CRN Voting Members

WASHINGTONThe Council for Responsible Nutrition (CRN) added two enzyme ingredient suppliers to its list of voting members: BIO-CAT Inc., Troy, VA, and Deerland Enzymes Inc., Kennesaw, GA.

BIO-CAT sources, supplies and custom blends enzymes for use in the dietary supplement, food ingredient, animal feed, industrial and agricultural markets.  BIO-CAT offers a blend of production capabilities, and technical and laboratory skills.

Deerland Enzymes is an enzyme specialty formulator and contract manufacturer, and a custom manufacturer for dietary supplements.  Deerland Enzymes provides a wide range of services to the nutritional industry, including custom and proprietary formulation design, product development and regulatory compliance consulting. It produces industrial enzymes from all four origins: plants, animals, fungus and bacteria.

CRN, founded in 1973, is a trade association representing dietary supplement manufacturers and ingredient suppliers.  In addition to complying with a host of federal and state regulations governing dietary supplements in the areas of manufacturing, marketing, quality control and safety, its more than 75 manufacturer and supplier members also agree to adhere to additional voluntary guidelines as well as CRNs Code of Ethics.
