Biopolymer Engineering Opening U.S. Glucosamine Manufacturing Site

EAGAN, Minn.--Biopolymer Engineering Inc. will open a new 25,000-square-foot facility here later this spring to produce glucosamine, N-acetyl-glucosamine (NAG) and chitosan in the United States. It will also provide a location to further process product from Biopolymer's El Salvador plant. The facility will have class 10,000 and class 1,000 clean rooms and will house the company's corporate headquarters.

"This new facility expands [our] production capabilities and provides additional office space that our growing company needs," said Richard Mueller, president and chief executive officer. "Once the facility is on line, Biopolymer Engineering (www.biopolymer.com) will produce the only 'Made in USA'glucosamine."
