Burgundy Upgrades Facility

REYSSOUZE, FranceBurgundy upgraded its manufacturing facility with extra capacity of extraction, extra chromatography columns, drying and clean rooms. This investment gives Burgundy an innovative facility, totally automated and computerized, for high traceability for its grape seeds extracts, according to the company. The plant is ISO 22 000 and cGMP (current good manufacturing practices) certified.

Cristal Union, a worldwide producer of grape seeds for extraction of polyphenols and actives, and its affiliate, Burgundy Botanical Extracts, have already started their new production line dedicated to high-speed process for polyphenols from grape seeds.

With an access of more than 7,000 tons of selected grape seeds for their content on OPC, Burgundy and Cristal Union acquired two new facilities on 2009, and Burgundy invested in new processing lines for extraction and purification.

Burgundy manufactures other botanicals extracts as well with facilities in France and Spain (further to the acquisition of the botanical extracts division of Cognis in 2009). Certified ISO 22000, ISO 9001, GMP, clean rooms and also Ecocert (organic), Burgundy serves the food and health, beverages, pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries. Burgundys portfolio includes UTIrose for urinary infections, Spineol for muscles recovery, and IridoForce for inflammation.
