Cargill Builds on Functional Drinks Exhibition

MINNEAPOLISCargill will continue its conference tour at the IFTAnnual Conference and Food Expo this summer, following its participation in theProduct Innovation in Functional Drinks conference in April in London, where itdiscussed functional beverage technology and the value of ingredient branding incommunicating health benefits to consumers.

At IFT 2006, Cargill will demonstrate how it translates market trends andconsumer needs into product concepts; showcase branded ingredients includingOliggo-Fiber Inulin, Prolisse Soy Protein Isolates and TransEND 390Zero Trans Solid Shortening; and exhibit new prototypes in the baking, beverage, snack, cereal and dairycategories, including reduced-calorie yellow cupcakes with no sugar added, acranberry pomegranate juice-based smoothie and ice cream featuring the expertiseof the Degussa Food Ingredients business, which Cargill recently acquired.
