Cyanotech Forms Japanese Business Unit

KAILUA-KONA, Hawaii--Cyanotech Corp. formed a Japanese business unit, Cyanotech JapanYK, with an office in Tokyo to maximize customer delivery times and allow customers to conduct business in Japanese yen rather than U.S. dollars. "The increasing acceptance of our products in one of the world's major economies caused us to form the new business unit," said GeraldCysewski, Ph.D., president of Cyanotech (www.cyanotech.com).

Cyanotech Japan will initially market NatuRose® and Spirulina Pacific® to the Japanese animal feed market and will later offer BioAstin® and spirulina to the human nutrition market. Current customers for animal feed products will transition to Cyanotech Japan by the end of March.
