CHAMPAIGN, Ill.Degussa FoodIngredients developed a new phosphatidylserine (PS) formula for softgelapplications. Leci-PS 20 V is a pasty, semi-solid product that melts at justabove room temperature. Due to its special properties, it can be easilyencapsulated yet shows a reduced moisture uptake during encapsulation comparedto other forms of PS. The PS also does not interact with the interfacial enzymephospholipase D, used during PS manufacture.
