PARSIPPANY, N.J.—DSM Nutritional Products released the results of a consumer study on omega-3 fish oil quality. During a nineweek, double blind, in-home test, 150 subjects consumed five different fish oil capsules with a one-week wash-out period between supplementation. Subjects said DSM’s ROPUFA® 75-EE omega-3 ingredient had a lower incidence of adverse side-effects, such as fishy aftertaste or gastrointestinal distress, and indicated they would “definitely” or “probably” purchase the brand versus other fish oil products.

DSM (www.nutraaccess.com) also developed a comprehensive brochure about the role its BONISTEIN™ genistein can play in bone health. The graphic presentation details the process of bone formation, and explains how BONISTEIN promotes bone formation and minimizes bone loss.
