PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla.—Enzymedica Inc. announced its Protein Optimize™ enzyme supplement was recognized by NSF International’s Athletic Banned Substances Certification Program (also known as Certified for Sport) for meeting its certification guidelines.

As part of the certification, Protein Optimize bottles are allowed to carry a unique NSF mark on each product label to assist athletes, coaches and others concerned with sports nutrition products in determining safe and verifiable label claims. Protein Optimize was developed to aid in protein digestion, and can be taken in conjunction with protein in powder form, bar form or as a supplement to high-protein meals.

“As athletes and fitness-minded consumers seek out safe and effective sports nutrition products, we are happy to provide Protein Optimize as a certified supplement to help meet protein requirements,” said Tom Bohager, president of Enzymedica. “In addition to the sports nutrition community, Protein Optimize’s NSF certification can offer further confidence to anyone who is health-conscious, including the aging population who may require additional protein in their diets.”
