Fuji, Sanat Sign Marketing Agreement

BURLINGTON, N.J.Fuji Health Science Inc. signed a marketing agreement with Delhi, India-based Sanat Products Ltd. related to the strategic placement of spirulina products in the North American market. Both companies are based in pharmaceutical and nutraceutical ingredients, and are involved in the cultivation of microalgae for nutritional ingredients. Fuji is a major producer of natural astaxanthin from Haematococcus pluvialis, while Sanat focuses on production of organic spirulina.

Charles DePrince, president of Fuji Health, said, "I see a synergy between the technologies of both companies that when combined has the potential to expand the scope of our product offerings in the market."

Amit Sharma, general manager of international business, Sanat Products, added: "We envision our collaboration and cooperation within the sphere of Microalgae and related product marketing as an augmented step in more effectively reaching the customer base in North America."
