Kalsec Opens Harry Todd Finishing Center

KALAMAZOO, Mich.Kalsec® announced the opening of its new Harry Todd Finishing Center, which expands the companys manufacturing capabilities for its natural spice, herb and vegetable extracts. The finishing center was named after Harry Todd in recognition of 50 years of dedicated service at Kalsec.

Todd began his career in 1963 with a variety of entry level assignments, eventually progressing to his current position as vice president of manufacturing. During his tenure, he completed his education with a degree in industrial engineering and a minor in chemistry. He also served in the Active Marine Corp Reserves.

The multi-million dollar investment will provide increased flexibility and automation in the standardization and packaging of the complete line of Kalsec liquid spice, herb and vegetable extracts. The finishing center includes significant resources devoted to ensuring the highest levels of product quality and food safety standards.

The company recently named Connell Brothers Company (India) Pvt. Ltd., as the new distributor for its products throughout India and Bangladesh markets. Established in 1999, Connell Brothers Company focuses on importing and distributing specialty ingredients and chemicals. The company is headquartered in Mumbai, India, with facilities in Delhi and a technical sales network across India.
