NEW YORK CITYKyowa Hakko USA announced it is implementing a 10- to 15-percent price increase on select items. The company said the increase, effective July 1, 2012, is due to increased costs in manufacturing and reflects current market trends.

The increase will allow Kyowa Hakko USA to remain competitive in the market place, according to Leo Cullen, vice president.

In February, Kyowa Hakko USA launched a quality seal for its unbranded amino acids, allowing its customers to label their products with the "Kyowa Quality" seal.
