NEW YORKKyowa Hakko USA is sponsoring an oral glutathione educational session at Natural Products Expo West 2010. Harry Demopoulos, M.D., former associate professor of pathology at New York University School of Medicine, will discuss the superiority of Setria® Glutathione, how multiple animal and human clinical oral dosing studies show that glutathione can and does enter the bloodstream, where it provides antioxidant protection, promotes detoxification and fortifies the immune system, at Expo West, Saturday, March 13, from 2 to 3 p.m. in the Anaheim Convention Center, Room 205A.

Demopoulos, who was awarded the Research Career Development Award from the National Cancer Institute, has focused his research for the past 35 years on the role of pathological free radical reactions and the effects of the subsequent losses of glutathione on cell signaling; expression of genes involved in growth factors and inflammation; bioenergetics; protein structure; and apoptosis in the major degenerative diseases and toxic exposures. His corollary interests included restoration of normal cell signaling, control over expression of disease-related genes, prevention of pathologic apoptosis in strategically located cells, and all the other glutathione functions.

Attendees to the Kyowa Hakko USA seminar will also have access to complimentary products with Setria® Glutathione and meet several Kyowa Hakko USA customers including Country Life, Doctors Best, Ecological Formulas, GNC, Healthy Origins, Holistic Health, Life Extension, Montiff, Nutraceutical Sciences Institute (NSI), Twinlab and Vitamin Shoppe.
