Lutein Researchers Address Ophthalmic Care

DALLAS--Two leading researchers who are members of the Lutein InformationBureau's Advisory Board spoke at the American Academy of Ophthalmology's annualmeeting here in October. Steven Pratt, M.D., and Robert Abel Jr., M.D.,discussed the increasing use of nutritional supplementation as a complement totraditional care and summarized the research on lutein's role in reducing therisk of age-related macular degeneration (AMD) and cataracts.
