Malaysian Council Holds Red Palm Oil Conference

EDISON,N.J.The  Malaysian Palm Oil Council (MPOC) held a two-day scientific conference from May 20 to 21 on tocotrienols and carotenoids from red palm oil to increase awareness of the oil's benefits.

According to Carotech Inc., a palm tocotrienol and mixed carotene producer, Dr. Oz's advocating of red palm oil caused a significant increase in knowledge of the oil's benefits. MPOC invited renowned researchers from all over the world to present the latest scientific breakthroughs and clinical results of a natural, full-spectrum palm tocotrienol and tocopherol complex.

The conferences tocotrienol theme was "Science Streamed Towards Disease Prevention," while sessions on palm carotenoids focused on new challenges and opportunities.

Lectures were dedicated to tocotrienols in brain health by two leading researchers: Chandan Sen of Ohio States University Medical Center and KH Yuen of University Science Malaysia, School of Pharmaceutical Science.

In addition, the scientific conference attracted leading alternative health experts, holistic pharmacists and formulators of nutritional supplement companies.
