FORSYTH, Mo.National Enzyme Co. (NEC) announced the recipients of its inaugural 2013 Vendor of Excellence Awards.

"While our criteria for vendors may be rigid, due to our lofty expectations, we make sure they know how much we appreciate them," said Tammy Cox, senior buyer, who presented awards with Charlie Amidon, chief operating officer. Amidon added, "It's high time the industry woke up and understood the importance of the entire supply chain and recognize the excellent performers."

The enzyme-based manufacturer recognized four companies, each for a distinct award.

  • Vendor of the Year: BIO-CAT

  • Most Resourceful: Stauber Performance Ingredients, Inc.

  • Specialty Vendor of the Year: Pharm-Rx Chemical Corp
