Neogen Unveils New Test Kit

LANSING, Mich.--Neogen Corp. is releasing an inexpensive,simple and accurate test to detect the Roundup Ready genetic trait in soybeansand one variety of Roundup Ready corn called Agri-Screen for the CP4 StripTest. CP4 is an abbreviation for the protein added to crops to make themtolerant to Roundup herbicides.

Agri-Screen for CP4 Strip Test can detect as little as one Roundup Readysoybean among 1,000 soybeans, or one Roundup Ready NK603 corn kernel among 800kernels.

Roundup Ready herbicide resistance has been incorporated into soybean seedused throughout the world. Soybean varieties with this trait were a largepercentage of this year's total production in the leading soybean producingcountries of the United States and Argentina.
