Olive Ingredient Scores High ORAC Values

MURRIETA, CACertified Nutraceuticals Inc. released ORAC values for its Olea25 ingredient made from organic olive leaves. According to Certified Nutraceuticals, Olea25 exhibited an ORAC value of 68,576 µmolTE/g, making it the only ingredient with 25-percent hydroxytyrosol extract powder from 100-percent organic olive leaves. Brunswick Laboratory conducted the ORAC testing, which measures the antioxidant power of a food or ingredient.

Hydroxytyrosol contains polyphenol compounds that have received much attention in recent years for their health benefits. Certified Nutraceuticals said hydroxytyrosol has been shown to help the cardiovascular system, reduce inflammation and helps protect blood lipids from oxidative damange. The granule powder Olea25 contains a minimum of 25-percent hydroxytyrosol.
