MORRISTOWN, N.J.--P.L. Thomas now offers trans-Resveratrol, a naturally occurring isomer that is extracted from the Polygonum cuspidatum species, also known as Japanese knotweed. According to the company, trans-Resveratrol prevents cardiovascular disease, fights free radicals, modulates hepatic lipid synthesis and inhibits platelet aggregation. The new extract also has anti-inflammatory effects and inhibits cyclooxygenase.
