Polyphenolics Reorganized, Changes Product Brand

MADERA, Calif.--Polyphenolics has been reorganized within Constellation Brands and will now become part of Canandaigua Wine Co., one of the largest wine companies in the world. As part of the reorganization, Anil Shrikhande, Ph.D., was named president of Polyphenolics; he will continue in his role as president of Canandaigua Concentrates.

Shrikhande has been involved with Polyphenolics since its inception and was responsible for development of its proprietary water extraction process. Ron Martin will continue as vice president of sales for Polyphenolics.

The company also announced it has changed the name of its primary product from Vinox to MegaNatural®. The Canandaigua Concentrate Co. has used the MegaNatural brand name for its line of natural colors; according to the company, the name change will "bring consistency in branding" as Polyphenolics focuses on the functional foods and beverage market.
