POM Wonderful Offers POMx to Global Market

LOS ANGELESPOM Wonderful is selling its POMx ingredient to dietary supplement and functional food companies. Previously, POMx was only available in POM Wonderful products. POMx, an all-natural, concentrated source of polyphenol antioxidants from Wonderful variety pomegranates, is available in both powder and liquid forms.

To support this new venture, POM Wonderful hired Kyle Redfield in the role of industrial sales manager.  Redfield has been in the dietary supplement ingredient business for the last five years.

In 2005, POM Wonderful developed a patent-pending process to obtain polyphenols found in the the peel, membrane and juice sacs of Wonderful variety pomegranates.  POM Wonderful owns and operates pomegranate orchards that span 18,000 acres in California. POM Wonderful manages the entire process from cultivation to extraction and packaging, using GMPs (good manufacturing practices) at its facilities in Del Rey, CA.
