ST. PAUL, Minn.—ProMyogen 4023 (PMG 4023) from Protient Inc. is a whey protein hydrolysate with enhanced levels of branched chain amino acids (BCAAs); it contains 25-percent higher levels of BCAAs than traditional whey protein isolates. PMG 4023 is manufactured from all-natural, rBGH-free whey protein and is kosher certified. Protient (www.protient.com) notes the product contains 90 percent protein (d.b.) and is lightly hydrolyzed, making it appropriate for aseptic, RTD and powder formulations.

Protient (www.protient.com) also launched CaproAmino 5189, an 80-percent milk protein concentrate made from goat’s milk. Goat’s milk protein is more easily and rapidly digestible, increasing the absorption rate; it also contains only trace amounts of the allergenic casein protein alpha-S1. CaproAmino 5189 has a bland, favorable flavor profile for use in weight loss, sports nutrition and functional food applications.
