BLAUVELT, N.Y.RFI Ingredients added two new products to its OxyPhyte line of ingredients: OxyPhyte Grape Skin Extract and reformulated OxyPhyte Heart Blend. OxyPhyte Grape Skin Extract is standardized to 10 percent resveratrol and 40 percent proanthocyanadins, and has an oxygen radical absorbance capacity (ORAC) value of more than 6,000 umoles TE/g. OxyPhyte Heart Blend now incorporates resveratrol and green tea catechins into its blend of apple and pomegranate polyphenols, providing the resveratrol content of 15 to 30 glasses of red wine and the catechin content of one cup of brewed green tea. The compounds in both products have been linked to prevention of cardiovascular disease, according to the company.
