Roche Produces CD-ROM on Lycopene

PARSIPPANY, N.J.Roche Vitamins produced the second in a series ofinformational CDROMs designed to educate the industry and health professionalsabout various health ingredients. This CD focuses on lycopene and includesextensive scientific background and fact sheets, a section geared toward theneeds of health professionals, and Roche Lycopene advertisements and mediaplacement information.

In other news, Roche presented its Innovation Award 2003 to August Ruttimann,Ph.D., a company scientist. Ruttimann developed an environmentally friendlyprocess for producing pure genistein. Roche filed for patent protection on theprocess and will offer the ingredient, produced in Sisseln, Switzerland, by2004.
