ASHDOD, IsraelSolbar Industries Ltd. introduced Solpro 900, a soyprotein isolate for nutritional foods and beverages, and emulsified meat andpoultry products. It has a minimum content of 90-percent moisture-free protein,and is highly soluble, low in fiber and cholesterol free. The soy proteinisolate is available in a vitamin-fortified form which complies with USDA-FNSrequirements for school and other nutritional programs. Solbar also manufacturesSolcon S, a functional soy protein concentrate, Contex textured soy concentratesand Bontex, a steamtextured soy protein; all ingredients are derived from non-GM(genetically modified) identity preserved soybeans.
