FAIRFIELD, Calif.Soy Labs LLC is changing its business focus, exiting the finished products category and concentrating on development and sale of soy ingredients and formulas. The company already supplies two specialty ingredients: AlbumaSoy®, a patent-pending soy albumin extract; and the CORE® formula, a combination of AlbumaSoy, Cissus quadrangularis, chromium polynicotinate, selenium, green tea, folic acid, and vitamins B6 and B12. Soy Labs is also planning to launch a new ingredient, Lunasin XP™, in the second quarter.

Ryan Schmidt, president, Soy Labs, said, “This change in our strategic direction will help streamline our operations for faster growth within the nutraceutical, cosmeceutical and functional food segments. By shifting focus to the supply side of the business, we will be able to concentrate on our core vision, which is to research new, innovative soy ingredients, compounds and extracts.”
