Sugar-Free Sports Drink Introduced

BOCA RATON, Fla.--Meridian USA Holdings Inc., the exclusive licensee for use of the Sweet'N Low brand, has launched a sugar-free sports drink,ChampionLyte. According to the company (www.meridianholdingsinc.com), this is the first completely sugar-free sports drink, compared to market leaders that have between 33 and 38 grams of sugar and up to 150 calories. "It is the only 'no guilt' sports drink with the benefits of electrolyte replacement without sugar, fat calories or carbohydrates," the company stated. It comes in four flavors, which were awarded the 2000 American Taste Award of Excellence from the American Tasting Institute.
