TORRANCE, Calif.—Toyo Bio-Pharma introduces TOYO-FVG™, a water extract of Pinus maritima pine tree bark that is rich in oligomeric proanthocyanidins (OPCs). According to Toyo, TOYO-FVG contains more than twice the amount of OPC than comparable products and 80-percent more polyphenol, with a recommended dosage 30-percent less than other pine bark extracts. The product can be taken internally or used as a topical, with applications in functional foods and drinks, skin creams and dietary supplements. Toyo Shinyaku, a premier Japanese manufacturer, uses an advanced water extraction process to pull out the actives, which are then refined, condensed and dried. TOYO-FVG is water-soluble and maintains an even mixture without stirring or shaking.
