VIBY, DenmarkArla Food Ingredients will launch Lacprodan® HYDRO.365, a whey protein ingredient designed for post-workout recovery, at Health Ingredients Europe 2012. This whey protein hydrolysates are digested and absorbed more quickly, according to Arla, allowing for quick muscle-building and repair. The ingredient can be formulated for ready-to-drink (RTD) beverages, powders, gels, bars and tablets.

Sales of protein-based sports nutrition products have risen strongly in recent years, but what these figures do not show is the fact that many consumers are also coming to recognize that not all proteins offer the same degree of benefits," said Peter Schouw Andersen, business development manager, Arla.

The company will also debut Lacprodan® DI-7017, a 100-percent whey protein concentrate, at Health Ingredients Europe 2012.
