Nia Vardalos Joins CRN 'Life...supplemented' Campaign

WASHINGTONActress Nia Vardalos, known for her roles in "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" and "My Life in Ruins," is teaming up with the "Life...supplemented" campaign. The campaign, which is managed and funded by the Council for Responsible Nutrition Foundation (CRNF), is a consumer wellness initiative dedicated to helping Americans achieve overall wellness through healthy diet, supplements and exercise.

A few years ago, I took a critical look at what I was doing, health-wise, and realized I needed to make some changes. I made a commitment to myself that I would improve my overall health," said Vardalos. I started eating healthier, taking supplements that my doctor recommended and working exercise into my daily routine. I have more energy and I feel good about what Im doing. I like being a part of a campaign that encourages people to get healthy."

As part of her role with the campaign, Vardalos will be sharing her own tips on incorporating the three pillars of a smart wellness regimen (healthy diet, dietary supplements and exercise) into a healthy lifestyle. She will also be encouraging consumers to optimize their personal health by utilizing the tools found on the Lifesupplemented" website, which include new and updated tools:

My Wellness Scorecard, a free and interactive survey which assesses current level of overall well-being and provides some simple tips and actionable steps for how to improve health.

The Supplemental, a weekly blog featuring a cadre of well-known experts in a variety of areas ranging from nutrition to fitness to aging gracefully.

Supplement Library, which provides easy-to-navigate information on specific supplements.

WannaBeWell Mobile Application, a soon-to-be launched tool that will help consumers focus on their health in a fun way, wherever they are.
