PGP  NSF GMP Sport Certified

WOODLAND, Calif.PGP International Inc., an ABF Ingredients Company, announced it has been awarded GMP good manufacturing practice) for Sport registration from NSF International, a global public health and safety organization that writes standards, tests and certifies products for the food, water and nutritional supplement industries.

NSF Internationals Dietary Supplement Certification Program is GMP for Sport registration helps minimize the risk that sports nutrition products are manufactured with athletic banned substances, such as steroids, stimulants, narcotics, beta blockers and masking agents.

NSF Internationals GMP for Sport Program allows manufacturers working within the sports supplement industry, such as PGP International, to emphasize quality and increased brand credibility. GMP for Sport registration verifies PGP Internationals Springfield facility and operations, as well as that ingredient sourcing complies with GMP requirements via ongoing audits.

GMPs for the current NSF International Dietary Supplements Certification Program are included in NSF International American National Standard 173.

PGP International obtained kosher and organic certification of its facility in Springfield, MO, in September. It also received GMP certification by NSF International.
