Potato-Based Soluble Fiber Reduces Calories

CENTENNIAL, Colo.Penford Food Ingredients introduced PenFibe® RO, a potato-based soluble fiber that can be added to a variety of foods to increase fiber and decrease calories.
The non-GMO product contains a minimum of 56% dietary fiber and can be used to reduce calories in foods products by partially replacing higher caloric ingredients, such as flour and sugar. PenFibe RO is non-allergenic, kosher and halal. The product also can be used to partially replace corn syrup, flour, inulin, maltodextrin and sugar.
Recommended applications include baked goods, beverages, breakfast/nutrition bars, confectionery, dairy, frozen desserts, snacks, sports nutrition, supplements and toppings/syrups.
