325,000 Pounds of Meat, Poultry Recalled Over Listeria

WASHINGTONBuona Vita, Inc., a Bridgeton, N.J., firm, is recalling approximately 324,770 pounds of various frozen, ready-to-eat meat and poultry products, including meatballs, chicken and beef patties, and loaves of chicken and beef, due to possible contamination with Listeria monocytogenes, USDAs Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced July 7.

The recalled products were produced between May 3 and 9 and sold to distribution centers nationwide under the following brandsCupino, Mama Isabella, Buona Vita, Vincent Giordano, Dirusso's, Silver Lake, Argenta Pride, Whitsons Food Service, M&R Frosted Food Co., Orefresco, Bullpen, Napoli, Whorle's and Buonamici. The packages bear the establishment number "P-954" or "Est. 954" inside the USDA mark of inspection.
