MIAMIContract manufacturer and service provider Aenova Group is unveiling two new softgel technologies, VeganGel and EnteriGel, at SupplySide West in Las Vegas. The products utilize plant-based polysaccharide softgel materials.

VeganGel offers a softgel option free of animal-derived gelatin; EnteriGel tackles reflux and aftertaste issues with its inherent gastric-resistant technologies. Both products are clear and smooth, similar to standard softgels. They are available in various shapes, sizes and colors. The shell material is genetically modified organism (GMO)-free and gluten-free, and the capsules use renewable raw material sources.

According to Aenova Group, the softgels' encapsulating films can tolerate high temperature filling. Consequently, the technology can encapsulate formulations that are high viscosity and/or solid-like at room temperature, but fluid at elevated temperatures.

With 13 sites across the globe, Aenova operates cGMP (current good manufacturing practice)-compliant facilities that produce a wide range of solid-dosage forms.
