WASHINGTONBaugher Enterprise Inc., a Westminster, Md., firm, is recalling gallon and one-half gallon plastic jugs of Baugher's Apple Cider because they may be contaminated with E. coli O157:H7 bacteria, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced Nov. 5.

The recalled products were sold in retail stores in Maryland and the Gettysburg area of Pennsylvania. The company initiated the recall after the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DHMH) investigation determined a cluster of seven E. coli infections may be linked to the consumption of unpasteurized Baugher's Apple Cider.
