The unit features a patentedmixing head with one to 12 shear-action zones consisting of high-speedrotors and stators individually capable of producing shear rates of 200,000 persecond. According to the company, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA),Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and 3A compliant mixer can provide tighterand more uniform particle size than conventional mixers, and reduce processingtimes by up to 80 percent since all product passes through the head.
