BI Nutraceuticals Director Designated Certified Food Scientist

LONG BEACH, Calif.Randal Kreienbrink, director of marketing at BI Nutraceuticals, received the Certified Food Scientist (CFS) title from the Institute of Food Technologists (IFT).

Kreienbrink, who has more than 25 years of experience in the food sciences industry, is BIs second employee to receive this designation. The new program was to differentiate individuals and their applied knowledge in food science.

George Pontiakos, president and CEO of BI Nutraceuticals, said, BI has always strived to be at the forefront of issues and trends impacting not only the dietary supplement industry, but also the functional food and beverage markets."

Kreienbrink and BI food technologist Alison Raban will be honored for their accomplishments at the IFT Annual Meeting and Food Expo on July 14 in Chicago. Additionally, both will be available to meet attendees and discuss BIs GRAS (generally recognized as safe) ingredient offerings during the show.

BI Nutraceuticals also received a SQF 2000 certificate from NSF International for its east coast facility in New York. With the certificate, BI's food safety and quality management systems will comply with international and domestic food safety regulations.
