Certified Organic Annatto Extract

LOUISVILLE, Ky.D.D. Williamson developed a powdered form of certified organic annatto extract for use as a natural coloring for food and beverage applications. The water soluble pigment appears yellow-orange in dry mixes. DDW's powdered annatto is an extension to the company's liquid form of certified organic annatto extracts, which are water soluble, oil soluble and oil soluble suspension.
The product can be labeled "organic annatto extract" on U.S. ingredient labels. Possible applications include cheeses, dairy beverage mixes, snacks, seasonings, baking mixes and confections.
