Chicken, Rice Soup Recalled over Undeclared Allergens

WASHINGTONBay Valley Foods, Westchester, Ill., is recalling Chef's Cupboard Chicken with Rice Soup because some cans are mislabeled and may contain vegetarian vegetable soup that contains undeclared egg and wheat, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced.

The recall involves 10.5-ounce cans of Chef's Cupboard Chicken with Rice Soup marked with "best by 01 05 12". The soups were distributed to Aldi stores nationwide.

Bay Valley Foods also issued an alert through the Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Network.
