Contaminated RTE Meats Recalled in Canada

OTTAWAThe Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) announced that G. Brandt Meat Packers Ltd., Brampton, Ontario, has issued a national recall of 120 ready-to-eat cooked meat products because they may be contaminated with Salmonella and Listeria.

The recall involves Borges, Brandt, Longos and The Smoke Master brands of pre-packaged RTE cooked meat products sold at deli counters. The brands bear the company code 164.

According to CFIA, some of the products were exported to Hong Kong by Park'N Shop. The importer has issued a recall of all lots of affected products.
