CARSON CITY, Nev.Coral LLC acquired distribution rights for fossilized oyster shell calcium, allowing the company to distribute oyster shell calcium as a raw ingredient for industries including food, feed, health supplements and agricultural.

Coral LLC is a manufacturer of above-the-sea natural mineral products in the U.S. The company's product are harvested from fossilized oysters from ancient shell beds in the Caribbean Islands; they are available in different particle sizes and as a direct compress (DC) for tablets.

"Fossilized oyster shells have been cultivated outside of the ocean for thousands of years, and as a result have not been exposed to ocean contamination caused by the industrial revolution," said Alberto Galdamez, director of sales, Coral LLC. "In contrast, oyster shell products harvested from the ocean may have been exposed to radiation, oil spills, pesticides from river water runoff and heavy metal contamination."

According to Coral LLC, since fossilized sea shells are harvested from ancient sea deposit, the process does not harm the ocean environment. As part of Coral LLC's environmentally friendly program, Friends of the Sea recently certified Coral LLC's harvesting methods as environmental friendly. The company actively promotes environmentally friendly products under its Eco-Safe® program.
