DSM Beta-Glucan Wins Innovation Award

KAISERAUGST, SwitzerlandDSM's OatWell® oat beta-glucan was named one of the most innovative products of the year at the 2013 Food Ingredients South America (FiSA) awards.

DSM acquired Swedish Oat Fiber's OatWell® brand in January 2013. The ingredients are used in functional foods, beverages and dietary supplements globally to aid cholesterol reduction, blood glucose control and immune health. Both the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) and U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved heart health claims for the oat beta glucans.
