Embrias Epicor Granted New GRAS Status

ANKENY, Iowa—Embria® Health Sciences announced its ingredient EpiCor has been affirmed GRAS (generally recognized as safe) at a higher inclusion rate of up to 3 g/serving in all food categories. Based on this GRAS determination, food and beverage manufacturing companies can safely and legally include EpiCor at a highly efficacious level in all food and beverage offerings, some of which include bars, breads, broths, dried cereals, flavored drinks, frozen yogurt, fruit juices, hard candy, milk drinks, mints, processed juices, snack dips, soups, sports beverages, spreads, tea beverages and tofu.
