FDA Issues Warning Over Pro-Amino Protein Bars

WASHINGTONThe U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is warning consumers not to eat certain ProtiDiet High Protein Chocolate Dream Bars manufactured by Pro-Amino International, Inc., in Quebec, Canada, because they may be contaminated with Salmonella.

The company recalled the ProtiDiet High Protein Chocolate Dream Bars that were sold in seven-bar packages bearing UPC 6 21498 42238 1, lot code CR 18 13B and best before dates of August 2015. The affected protein bars were sold in Alabama, Arkansas, California, Connecticut, Florida, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas and Virginia, as well as the Internet.
