WASHINGTONFDA has warned consumers about several sexual performance products, which are marketed as dietary supplements by Enhance Nutraceutical, but which have been found to contain undeclared approved drug ingredients that could pose health dangers to people with certain health problems and those on certain medications. ZenMaxx, Instant Hard Rod and RigiRx Plus were all found to contain aminotadalafil, an analog of tadalafil, an FDA approved prescription drug used to treat Erectile Dysfunction (ED). FDA warned this analogue may interact with nitrates found in some prescription drugs, such as nitroglycerin, and may dangerously lower blood pressuremen with diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol or heart disease often take nitrates.

FDA advised consumers to stop using this product immediately and throw it away. Any consumers who have experienced any negative side effects should consult a health care professional as soon as possible. Additionally, adverse event reports (AERS) associated with these products can be submitted directly FDA via MedWatch online, or by FAX, at 1-800-FDA-0178.
