MONTREAL--FineExtra International will promote several new products at SupplySide West (Booth #1678). Thaumatin extract is a low-calorie sweetener that comes from the West African Katemfe fruit Thaumatococcus daniellii. It is sweeter than sucrose, is stable in freeze-dried form and soluble in water and aqueous alcohol, and is classified as GRAS by the FDA. Other ingredients include Usnea Barbata extract, Cassia Mimosides var. Noamame Makino extract, Amni Visnaga extract, Chios Mastic gum extract, Rhodiola Sacra extract and vegetable source amylase inhibitors.
