Food Safety Alert: Fresh Express Spinach Recalled Over Salmonella

WASHINGTONFresh Express, Inc.,  is recalling a limited quantity of bagged Fresh Express Spinach in 18 Western U.S. states because it may be contaminated with Salmonella, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced.

The recall involves 9-ounce packages of Fresh Express Spinach with use by dates of Nov. 7 and UPC S299B25. The fresh spinach was distributed to retailers in Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Kansas, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, Washington and Wyoming.
